Post Article Writers Needed!

I'm looking for members who are interested in writing poker articles. The articles can be about anything having to do with poker. I can even give you subjects if you need.

I will use these articles to promote TRR.

As many of you probably know, I am 100% self employed now. Much of what I do involves writing articles and submitting them to tons of different article directories to promote my sites. It takes me about 15-20 minutes for each article. Then, it takes a couple hours or so to submit them.

You can see some of my articles here:

Chane Steiner - EzineArticles.com Expert Author

Articles are one of the best ways to get higher rankings on the search engines.

So, I had an idea...why not get TRR members involved? We could get some massive promotion for our community plus it's a good way to earn VIP points for free. Also, writing articles is an incredible way to learn more about poker. Trust me, I learn a ton by writing. You can't NOT learn when you're writing.

Here's my offer:
  • For every article you write I will give you 25 VIP points.
  • I will submit the article to at least 10 sites and you will get full credit. (Your name will be attached.)
  • If you write enough articles and they are quality and bringing us traffic, I will pay you - like $50 per 20 articles (on top of the VIP points). It's not much, but it's a small bankroll, right?

After your first 10 articles, I'll do an evaluation and decide to pay you or not.
  • If you really enjoy writing (and your articles don't suck), I can help you set up a blog that can make you some extra income.

Remember, I do this for a living. In March (last month), I made over $5,000 from the comfort of my own home. More than likely, I will never work another job in my life. This frees up lots of time for stuff like volunteering, working out and traveling. I tell you this not to brag, but to let you know that this type of thing can make you lots of money.

There are many poker bloggers making a living (some millionaires) by writing about poker. I'm not talking about part time. Like me, they don't have jobs and will probably never "work" again.

It's not just poker. Blogging has made many, many people financially free.

Also, if you get recognized by other poker sites, it could end up being a huge opportunity for you.

If you write articles for TRR, you agree to:

  • Give me complete rights to your articles.
  • Only submit 100% unique articles and never post them anywhere else.
  • Let me edit the article as much as I need to. (Sometimes I will need to change the title or even change up a few words for search engine marketing purpsoes.)
  • Let me use them to promote TRR and other poker site.
  • All articles must be at least 400-500 words.
  • Accept the fact that not every article will be used and that you may never get paid for your articles.

If you're interested, PM me your articles. If you have any questions, post away!

There are thousands of people doing it. It's really not that hard, but it does take time and it does take persistence.

How did I get involved?

This is a very important subject for me. Some people just don't fit in to the whole 9 to 5 mold.

I've always been kind of anti-authority, ever since I can remember. It's caused me a lot of trouble in my early days, but now it's working out quite nicely for me.

In junior high and high school, I got detention almost every single day. I was a very bad kid. When a teacher told me to do something that didn't make sense to me or that I simply didn't want to do, I didn't do it. Not falling in line and not being a fucking robot caused lots of problems. Most of my teachers hated me, but a few of them loved me.

In high school, I got straight D's (so did Einstein, by the way). I wasn't dumb, I just didn't give a shit about school or learning what they were trying to feed me. I can't read shit like "To Kill A Mocking Bird" or "MacBeth". But, they insisted on trying to make me read that shit anyway. My attention span just wasn't having it. I couldn't sit through 2 minutes of that shit let alone 50. So, I'd either skip class or throw shit at the teacher when they weren't looking, or knock over a stack of books, or get up to sharpen my pencil and "accidentally" trip over a few desks...you get the point...anything to disrupt class and make people laugh.

I still believe that most of what is being taught in school is bullshit. It's a one-size-fits-all system, but it didn't fit me. Kids are not learning what they really need to learn like money management, a second and/or third language, but they are learning ton of shit that they will never use.

I went on to get better grades in college, but after a couple years of that I decided that school wasn't for me. Well, actually, I've known that school wasn't for me for a long time. But, I tried to do what everyone else told me to do...go to school and get a good job.

This might surprise you and I can't believe I'm sharing this at TRR, but I got fired from my last 7 out of 8 jobs. It's kinda funny now, but it wasn't so funny when I was trying to make a living.

I'm not a "job" type of person for the same reason I'm not a "school" type of person...my brain doesn't work that way. They can't mold me into something that I'm not.

Most people work 40-60 hours a week making someone else rich while they live paycheck to paycheck. They take a break when they are allowed to take a break. They leave when they are allowed to leave. They live like this for 40-50 years. It's basically 21st century slavery.

It kind of reminds me of asking the teacher to go to the bathroom. I mean, seriously...think about that. Asking if you can use the bathroom???

I'll use the bathroom whenever I feel like using the fucking bathroom. If I have to piss, I have to piss. I don't need permission.

This post is turning out to be another big one, so I'll rap it up.

A few years ago, I decided I wasn't going to be a corporate slave like my parents were - no matter what. I decided I would do whatever it takes to get out of that fucking rat race. So, I started teaching myself about business, web design, marketing, etc. and finally I was able to quit my last job (the only one I haven't been fired from) and work full time from home (or wherever the hell I want to work from.)

Note: I am not trying to be cocky when I talk about doing whatever the fuck I want to do. It's really how I live. I'm a free thinker. I don't think like a slave anymore. We live in a free country and we have a shit ton of opportunities available to us. Don't ever let people tell you how to think and what to do. By thinking outside of the box and freeing your mind you can get rid of that slave mentality and really make some shit happen for yourself.

Here are some article ideas.

You can write about any poker player, ie Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, etc.

You can review any online poker room, ie Full Tilt, Party Poker, etc.

You can write about any poker game, ie hold'em, omaha, razz, etc.

You can write about poker strategy for certain games, for sit-n-gos, for tournaments, for cash games, etc.

You can pretty much write about anything having to do with poker...

poker forums
poker odds
cheating in poker
sexy poker players
bad beats
table position
rake
bluffing
poker etiquette
starting hands

There's literally an infinite amount of things you can write about. You don't really have to know much about the subject, you just have to have want to learn and to the research. NO PLAGIARIZING! Seriously, it's not cool.

Hell yea, that's the attitude right there! Just start writing about anything poker related - keep the articles nice and short (400-500 words)! Use Microsoft Word or whatever has spell check, then send them to me via PM or email. Remember to submit your real name too if you want credit for them.

By the way, not being appreciated sucks! Working for yourself, you will never have to deal with that shit. The harder you work, the more you get paid...no questions asked. YOU decide your paycheck every week.

Chane you rock! I can only hope to find a way to work from home someday. Writing has never been something i like to do, or else i would be all over this. I work at a non-profit so of course im living paycheck to paycheck and doing alot of extra work for shit. Dont get me wrong i love my job and am learning all kinds of things to help me in future, but right now it blows just trying to get somewhere. I hope someone here can make something of this offer!
