the problems with horse racing

1 the rake - 20% minimum - >30 % on trifectas

2 if you arent part of the circle of owners , trainers or jockeys you are at a disadvantage - they are there to make money - not necessarily by winning

3 the para mutuel system - you can make a great bet and someone can dump 100,1000 or more on the same bet as you in the final seconds before the race..... and your ev goes negative...

how to fix it?

1 cut the rake
2 ?
3 have a 2 minute gap between betting and the race where you can withdraw your bet...?

the only real solution is to bet between you and your buddies... do not be part of this system of thievery...

I Had The 1/4/7 Box And The 1/4/10 In The Race For Bigbrown For Triple Crown..i Hadn't Bet On Horse Since Smarty Jones Triple Crown Try.. I Had Smarty /all/all And I Had All/smarty/all To Cover My Rear .. It Only Paid Good Because The Long Shot Won On My Bet All/smarty/all Bet I Placed.. I Only Bet Races In Horses Only When They R Going For The Triple Crown!! Don't Know Enuff About The Sport To Be Serious Gambler.. Just Bet Just To Make It Interesting To Watch
