Default i agree

i agree i feel that u neva want to bet at the pot even if the side pot is larger if u dont feel that u cant win the main pot but i do feel if u feel that u can raise and steal away the side pot and the side pots larger then it would be a good time to bet at the pot but u will rairly ever find ur self in that position but u want to make sure that the other player or players aint slow playing... like try betting 50 on flop and then 250 after flop or something of that sort..

Betting into a dry side pot on a bluff or even a minimal hit shows inexperience and donkism. Even the pros have that unwritten rule. It happens too much online..

checking it down is the appropriate thing to do always better to get 1 perosn out than to try and screw another player... u never know with the bad players that go all in they could hold silly cards that win it....

Default checking is sometimes good for gaining info

when im not unsure of what people might have i always use checking as my tool for gaining information or betting a minimum bet would be another strategy
i guess everyone has different was of "testing the water" hahaha

Checking it down only gives your opponent a chance to outdraw you. If you have a strong hand, why not bet it?

Theoretically, if you tell someone to check it down that's collusion and hence why ftp disabled chat when someone is all-in

I will check it down, especially at the late stages of the tourney, except in the cases that I have "the" hand and then I will bet to try and take your chips. And by "the" hand I dont mean top pair or pocket x's. It's got to be a big one for me to take the chance of the allin winning. But really if it's a payout increase or even being ITM at all, I'll check most times.

You should check it down when doing so is in your best interest. There are situations where that can mean you don't particularly care if you lose to the all-in player. For example, say you're the massive chip leader near the bubble, and yout table is letting you steal almost at will. In that situation, when the small stack goes in, you may want to bet other players out of the hand. Busting out one player doesn't benefit you very much, and you don't mind if you lose since you can just steal some more blinds. What you don't want is a multi-way pot that, even if it is checked down, will put a decent amount of chips into someone else's stack.

Default Ck it down

To many times the all in short stack has won because of someone betting me out of the hand because he's got an A. I feel it is better to stick together till the end to take out the short stack. If you got the nutz by all means place a bet. Other wise give everyone in the hand a chance to take out the all in player.
