Lost with Quad 4's

RECENTLY on full tilt i had 44... guy next to me KK.... flop comes 4K4... K....8..... rediculous.. i lost 300 dollars and beacuse i didnt lose with better then quad 8s i didnt get the bad beat jackpot

ouch that hurts it happened to me too at fulltilt had 4 of kind went all in thought for sure it was mine than on the river buddy ended up with st flush man I was pissed

Mine isn't as bad but playing cash game on full tilt flopped the nut flush with AKc get called by J8c and her rivers a 9c for the straight flush....lost 75 dollars(i.e. all my money)

I have taken my fair share of bad beats. And that str8 flush scenario came up for me one time. I had the nut flush and went all in. This guy calls with a nut flush DRAW!! My day had been so bad up to that point, I almost expected him to catch. Thankfully he didn't. But, I still can't believe this call. There was no doubt I had the nuts but many players online don't seem to care about things like odds!

PokerJaker, you don't play at the casino where I play I guess. So many people will even state, I guess I'm only 25% to win, but "I call". I see it time and time again.

Once I turned the nut straight. My opponent stated I know you have the straight but I got two pair. I can't lay it down so "I call". The river gave him a boat! Insane!

Hey Claremore Dolly, I think I misstated that it was only one time I had been drawn out on. And in your case, a "boat draw" as I like to call it, is horrible. I guess they don't give a damn about odds. What was the pot size in your case? Was your bet big enough to give him better than 1:1 odds on the pot. (Not saying you did anything wrong nut stupid people like that seem to always have a reason to call with their loosing hand!). When I lose I usually blame it on myself because I should have bet it differently or something like that. Well, If I haver see this guy, I will tell him that he made the sensible poker player lose faith in a game that day!

I actually overbet the pot. Even the way I played the hand, just calling on the flop, made it look like a had the straight (which I did). He actually made a good read, then said "oh well, I call".
