Default multi

multi table tourneys are my favorite, i think the competition is fair to moderate, mostly you have a bunch of fish trying for the win, but to me, just placeing at the final table is a victory, i usualy do well if i get a few good beats and stack my chips to a least 4 or 5 times more than the others at any given table, at that point i play only forced blind position checks, or maybe when i see or notice fishy players i try to set them up for destruction, i like holdem no limit the best, but i also play omaha hi, no hi/lo crap for me, it drives me nuts, it might as well be called omaha/razz,,,,,ya know lol,,, jonnyhtown here,,,,peace

It depends in multitourney play if your given a deep or shallow stack to start off. If you don't have a deep stack, lets say 800-1000 chips, you have to play pretty tight and stay off the str8 and flush draws until your stack gets deeper. Best to stick with best start hands until then. If your playing in a deep stack to start tourney and the field is limited then by all means go for it... but if your looking at 2000 plus players you may want to do the same for the first hour...
That is how I end up at final tables in these multitourneys. It takes also a lot of discipline and patience as it always does in any game of holdem!

IMO, it all depends on the type of players you are playing with. The strategy I've been seeing a lot lately is limp in with a lot of different hands and then decide on flop whether to commit a lot of chips to pot. In general I try to play the opposite of the majority of play at the table I'm at.

Default Great Read

IMO: One of the best articles to read, and charts to have handy when playing MTT's, is found here. Once you grasp all this, your odds of winning increase proportionately. Print it and keep it handy when playing. It has helped my game. Hope you find it helps as well.

Yea, my parole officer was taking up a lot of my time recently. Now that I got him "out of the way", I can type again.

Nice to be back.
