Isn't that the truth. Bullets are fine but care still needs to be taken with them post-flop. Bet heavy pre-flop but be ready to give them up later, if need be. They are not an automatic ticket to victory.

Wohoo, just got dealt AA in a freeroll on poker stars. I'm second to act preflop. First guy folds, I raise to 500 (blinds 25/50), everybody folds except BB who calls.

Flop came; Ac 8s 3d

BB checks
I check, hoping to get a raise on the turn

Turn card: 10s

BB bets 400
I raise all-in (900)
BB calls and shows K3s

River card: Js - surprise!

You just gotta laugh

i don't know what you all are thinking. AA is the strongest hand in the deck. I will take AA over AK anytime. you may lose many pots with AA but you will lose 3 times as many pots with AK. Good luck.

I think the inverse is true for 7-2 or any other rags...everyone can remember winning a pot with rags from the BB (or just playing them for the hell of it). Or being beaten with them (maybe while holding AAs lol).

Everyone hears "Best" or "Worse" starting hand and thinks that if they're dealt to them its easy sailing from there on out...lulled into a false sense of security by the most statistically sound starting hand.

The trick is playing your opponents not YOUR cards...too big a for their cards and you buy the blinds, to small and we have people who shouldn't be let into the hand seeing cards for cheap.

Read your opponents and make decisions based on their hand strength.
I agree whole heartedly

To avoid bad beats, I fold AA preflop. It saves me headaches. And AK is just a drawing hand, so that usually goes in the muck, too.

What do you think? Rockets (AA) are the best?
Well I would have to beg to differ with you for AA is a made hand, say you get your QJ10, turn is K, Tie here or the most probable scenario, K JJ, then you are behind drawing like a fish.

But yes AA does have its disadvantages and only have two possible Str8 combinations A-10 A-5, but in AA defence ak can only draw to only one str8.

But hell yes I would hunp AA every time over ak, suited or unsuited.

This isn't a serious debate, is it?

To play AA & other big pairs need to ask yourself some question:
1. It's cash game or tournament?
2. What stack got you & your opponents?
3. What blinds now (for tournament)?
4. What players with y at table?
5. What players remind (for tournaments)?
6. You trust your big pair or think it lose sucks hand & want to get blinds?
P.S. Sorry my english is not very well/
