I dont think its the best hand you can get, i think its AK, because you have the highest 2 cards and can get the highest things with it.. if you have AA , you almost need always another A to win it. because the other one has straight,.,. flush,... 2 pairs... its almost always better..

What do you think? Rockets (AA) are the best?

Pocket Aces are like being launched off the deck of an aircraft carrier. Your going 0-150mph in three seconds. Then you slow down to the point you feel as if you will fall out of the sky. Untill you realize it's just the natural excelleration of the plane taking over lifting you higher and, higher. Pocket aces will win against any two cards heads up about 82% of the time. A big pocket pair will beat any smaller pair heads up about 80%. Against suited cards or, connectors your odds drop to about 66%. Pocket aces are always the best hand pre-flop. After the flop it becomes important to know when to get away from them. The odds of pocket aces 1-111 odds of AK suited 1-333. Even though it is much more rare that you will receive AK suited pre-flop it pales in comparison to the power of the pocket aces.

lost many times on pocket Aces, so i really think you are right. Last time i lost in cash game, one guy went all in on KQ, and i had AA. Flop 10 J 3 , of course turn is a useless A, and the river didn't count for me any more since it was an 8... So i have to think twice when i get the rockets

The only reason why people say AA is overrated is because its the hardest hand to LAY DOWN. People get tears in their eyes and are calling pretty much everything to the door. If you learn to lay down AA, I guarantee you will like AA much better

pocket aces are definitely hard to lay down, but they're not all that overrated. you can only go broke playing them if you push all in, but raising the pot a decent amount weeds out guys drawing at straights or flushes. but i agree you have to be able to lay them down when you know they're not gonna take the pot. it all depends on the situation.

I agree, some people will play AA till the river and lose everything. Its not alot different from any other hand because you have to be careful and really think about what your oppenants could have. AK is a drawing hand so if you miss the flop your hand is probably dead. Yep it really blows when you do finally get the AA and your obviously beat, but thats poker!

I have to agree with you here. I have layed AA a few times, but not many. I do not play it any different than any other hand I bet with. 3x the big blind. See the flop and determine if you want to continue betting, all in or fold. If you are in doubt, fold. You will still be in the game. Trust me, you can forget about it and move on. You might even win!
