I know when you only have a few dollars in your poker account its hard to set up BR management. But what percentage of your BR should you use at most when playing any single game? 10% of your BR? 5%? 1%? For now i only have a few bux but when I say get up to 50 dollars.... should I be sticking with 2 dollar games or move up to 5 and 10 dollar games?

I've always thought no more than 5% of your bankroll should be on the line when gambling. So for a $50 bankroll, that would imply $2.50. Good luck.

1% of my bankroll is 20 cents! Now that's what I call micro-stakes!

...Until yesterday, that is. I spent 10% of my $20 on a tourney buy-in, and wound up winning $105, woohoo! It all derived from freerolls originally, too.

i am the worst with bankroll management, and everyone has a different amount that they risk at one session. i like to play games where i feel more comfortable. so i would never play .01/.02 or .05/.10 because i play worse at these tables. I know that if i have only 50$ in my account i shouldn't play .25/.50 but i know that i have the dicipline to play better poker and that is what matters to me.

I, too, have stuck to the 5% bankroll theory, except when I had less than $50. I like those $14+1 satellite to the sunday brawl tourneys with guaranteed seats. You when $55 and I think I have done it 5 out the 6 that I have played.

I would say 5% also, but to tell the truth i am the WORST at sticking to that! I wish there was some way that sites would only let me use that amount!!!
