New poster needs help...
Hey all, I have been visiting here for a little while but have never posted.
I was playing in a tournament tonight with some friends, but we take it pretty seriously. It was a ten dollar buy in with 15 people in and I got heads up.
I was playing against a guy I know pretty well. He is an aggressive player but is smart, not reckless. we have about 20,000 in chips on the table, I am holding 15,400. He is small blind and I am big blind (200/400). He limps, and I raise 800 on top to make it 1,200. He then re-raises to 4,200, all-in (making the pot 5,800). I am holding Q10 offsuit. I put him on either Ax, Kx, or smaller pocket pair (maybe 55-88).
Now, I looked at my pot odds at somewhere around 1.5-1 (actually 1.71-1).
I think I am at best 50/50, more than likely 2-1, with a small chance he was trapping (I am somewhat aggressive, especially heads up with a bigger stack and he knows this) and I am way behind.
I laid the hand down, and a friend of mine thinks it was the wrong move.
What do you guys think? All advice, especially critical, is appreciated!
