Best Professional Poker Player

I personally think one of the best all around cash games players is Chip Reese. Ted Forrset is an unassuming power player as well. I don't honestly know if I could function if one of those were on my left and the other on my right.

How about the best ever...Stu Unger nobody has ever came close to his tourny played/tourny won ratio 80-85% depending on which statistics you believe. Most Current Pro's at best hit 40% (TJ Cloutia) Sorry for the horrible spelling.

I have a mad crush on Gus Hanson.. I think he's sorta geeky looking but in a sexy way.. I love all his ticks and the way he talks to himself.. I must be crazy cause there are better looking poker players but I think Gus is dreamy.. Not sure if I'd say he's the best player but he sure is hot in my books... :wink:

Daniel Negreanu voted player of the year in 2004 !! He chats constantly taking in information. He is 3rd in all time earnings last time i checked. But why do so many people over rate Phil Ivey. I don,t understand this ?? Sure he has made it to many a final table but he tanks !! I don,t think he has ever won one even with amateurs !! Can some-one please explain this almost idol worship of Phil Ivey ?? really

It's not so much how many final tables he makes. They rave about the dominance he apparently takes at the cash games. That is what makes people believe he is such a great player. Plus, the wide variety of poker games he does well in.

True, the Pro,s love to play. While there in different cities for Tournaments they have private BIG CASH games in one of the suites. He may/must do very well there and is respected by his peers. But how do people ever hear about those games, i admit i,m not up to date on the behind the scene action. I,m talking about his record in regulated tournaments. If anyone has any stats ,,, please post them. !!!

I think he does well in tournaments in general. He goes pretty deep in most tournaments he plays in but just can't seem to finish them off. That's not bad but for Phil Ivey it is bad. Sort of like when Tiger Woods doesn't win the tourney when he's near the top. Except Tiger finishes them off. He usually never loses when he's near the top. Unlike Phil Ivey.

Exactly my point. On paper he suks. !! He is not a closer !! He doesn,t finish the deal. I wonder why that is ?? So he plays conservative and makes his way deep in tournaments. I think he is a better cash player. Because in tournaments he always seems to make the wrong calls !! I just don,t think he deserves such insane worship !!

Doesn't anyone think Chris MoneyMaker is great, he is a WSOP Champion, lol. Anyways, my favorite is Daniel Negreanu.
