I agree Phil Ivey is one of the best in the game I find it hard to say that there is one ultimate poker player cause that would mean you'd have to stop getting better and improving and if you hear these guys talk about the game they're always talking about improving and getting better. Ivey tho his aggressive play, table presence and poker mind are definitely put him up there in terms of top players in the game today.

Ivey has to be one of the best out there. He is always so calm at the table. Really easy going person. Seems well liked by all.

Default Awesome

Search for the Phil Ivey vs Paul Jackson hand on the Internet to find out why he is one of the very best. He re-re-re raises on a paired board with Queen high LOL.

Default Phils rule poker

There is no doubt in my mind that Phil Ivey is probably the last guy u want to see sitting at your table in any poker tournament.

His excellent poker face, reading skills and coolness makes him the poker real deal.

However, I remember watching Mike the mouth playing him online. At one point, Ivey cracked Mike's kings with 67 or something like that, which led to this other golden Matusow quote:"Your pact with the devil is about to end". I must admit I've seen Ivey get in so many pots where he hits the nuts while the other guy has a really strong hand (say ak or better), making it almost impossible for their opponents to fold.

Maybe it's only T.V. coverage that shows only the action hands... what u think?

from another Phil
