Yep. Don't believe everything you see or read in a magazine. I met him at a charity fundraiser and he was totally down to earth and willing to donate his time to the cause. I talked to him about a few things and he was rad as can be. He will also be a GREAT player. In five or ten years you will all be eating your words. Jamie Gold will be a world class player. Jamie Gold caught a lot of grief for his actions at the WSOP. He was definitely out of line on some hands and probably would not have won had a Tournament Director punished him.

He was mentored by Johnny Chan so there's no question he is a good player. When a good player catches his cards, there is no stopping them and Jamie Gold did just that in 2006.

I am of age to gamble. Play everyday at the local casinos and cardrooms and online. I think Jamie Gold will prove you all wrong. To all the people that hate on Moneymaker....ummmm would you be playing if it were not for him winning in '03. I know i would not. So just show some respect to people who have accomplished something special. ESPECIALLY moneymaker. Gold will have the last laugh. You will see.

I think when talking about these pro that are not like there the ones trying to talk your ear off and get ya mad to tilt ya eh! thinking most are ok people away from the table it part of there game... remeber there doing this for a living and using what got them there eh!

I used to hate Jamie Gold and considered him a donk and just had a great run at the WSOP. Thought his win was Moneymaker-esk. After watching him on HighStakes Poker tho, I got to say he started to grow on me and I appreciate his style of play. I never really heard of him being a prick but I always thought it after he won. Now I don't believe it tho cause he seemed down to earth on Highstakes. Then again, playing with all those top pros would definitly bring any ones ego back down to earth(except Hellmuth's). Glad to see him donating money.
