small ball strategy is great. I use small ball and long ball. I play according ot the table.

tho he isnt my favorite player,he is one of the leading resources i have in improvi,ng my game....and everyone has bad days,weeks n years,but the man is uncanny at reading a table...and looking at your hand...he is consistant,and nearly flawless in his execution....everyone can get beat and lose...but he stands up their in my opion as the pro to listen to when hes talking about poker.

I agree, but I think his advice needs to be taken with a grain of salt in a lot of situations.

For a long time I tried to apply his "Small Ball" advanced no limit strategy to online tournaments, and it simply doesn't work because the stacks aren't deep enough. A lot of his tips and pointers and plays simply do not work in shallow-stacked situations. Stacks need to be a lot deeper than most think to pull these plays off, which I think needs to be stated and understood before anyone tries to play the very loose/passive style that DN plays in many poker tournaments.

couldnt agree more,in fact,in my ever changing game....these days in tournaments i rarely see any of the 1st few hands period,do to all the chaos,my tournament stragedy is very basic...i wait...and wait...until i,m certain.
