What constitutes a "quality post"?

I'm curious to know if you've defined this term. Some other forums I belong to use a minimum word count; e.g. anything over 25 words is considered "quality". I dislike this approach since all it does IMO is lead to longer spam.

I used to co-own a large (non-poker) forum, so I'm well aware that moderating isn't easy by any means. But I don't think word count accomplishes much, so I'm interested to see what criteria you're using.

my theory on a quality post is not posting this BS in the wrong area... maybe try another area of the forum where it belongs

My theory on one form of quality post is that is you're going to say something belongs elsewhere in the forum, it would be constructive to point out where you feel it does belong instead of merely bashing others for no apparent good reason.

Quality Post:

1) Spelling has been checked
2) Reads from left to right
3) One smiley must be used
4) Proper paragraph orientation is required
5) Must contain more than just one four-letter word
6) Must contain at least one four-letter word
7) Using Queens English automatically disqualifies the post
8) Using Arabic is highly discouraged
9) Site owner is from Indiana. Say something nice about the Colts or something.
10) Never be mean to a Rounder. Not only will you lose the post, but Penny will have her maid stick pins in your very own voo-doo doll. Owie!!

13)Make sure your first post is ALWAYS a request for a freeroll password! Why? Because YOU deserve it!
