I mean I am new to the site so I don't have any say, but as a newcomer one thing I immediately noticed was:

a) The "shout" box is above the forum lists and the posts for forums and in most cases as to not clutter the screen, websites will put the shout box down below as to not take up so much room on the screen

its funny, i have NEVER seen a forum put a shoutbox on the bottom.. MY first thought was that the shoutbox isnt wide enough.. it looks tiny and weak.... i think the shoutbox on top is a great thing and makes it easier for people who come to the site and say hi to each other.. if you put it on the bottom of the page, who is going to use it?? i'm not gonna scroll all the way to the bottom just to see who's talking but if its at the top of the page and one of the first things i see, then it at least tempts me into saying hello...

shoutboxes are good for forums like this and a great way for people who actually CARE bout the site to get to know each other.. there are probably a ton of people who come to these sites daily who could give a shit about everyone else, they just want their freeroll password and move on.. but those who CARE is what the shoutbox is for. if you're gonna move it down to the bottom, good luck getting new people interested..

ya the shout box is the first thing i noticed to
I think at the bottom would be a better place
for it or make it smaller and have ot on the side
so you dont have to scrool down to pass it all
the time.

It used to be at the bottom. It was moved to the top so people would see it right away and use it more.

yeh when we had it at the bottom, no one used it. now its used a lot!

I just want to add you should put the who's on now at the top too.
I personally like it at the top.It lets me know when the people i like are on and chating.
