Go Cubs, Go Tribe!

My two favorite teams made it to the play-offs and when one of them is the Cubs, it's pretty amazing! My brother is supposed to be getting us tickets to a Cubs game, not sure if he was able to.

As a sports fan, I've been incredibly lucky the last couple years, first with Indy and the Bears both in the Super Bowl...that was a dream. It may never happen again...and now with the Cubs & Tribe. It'd be great to see those 2 teams in the World Series...with the Cubs winning it!

Who do you guys like for this years play offs?

Well, since the tribe has to go through my Yankees, it doesn't look good for them. As long as the bullpen does their job, the Yanks should go far this post season.

i'm not real big on baseball but i cheer for everything cleveland so i'm glad to see the indians doing good

Go figure, I wanted the Cubs and the Angels to win last night and they both lost. I hope the Yanks don't suffer the same fate tonight. They were 6-0 against the Tribe this regular season, but those numbers all go out the window in October. Here's hoping that A-Rod doesn't choke again.

I HATE the Yankees with a passion. They are my least favorite team in any sport. Steinbrenner makes me want to puke. His money and the "no salary cap" bullshit have ruined baseball. They buy an all-star playoff team every year. And when they still suck mid-season, they'll even pay $18 million and have his teammates beg for Roger Clemens to come back.

Nothing pleases me more than seeing the Rocket go 6-6 with a 4.18 ERA for $18 million big ones. ESPN showed that Steinbrenner could have gotten at least 9 all-stars for the same price as he paid for Clemens.

Everything the yanks stand for makes me sick. I hate them even more than Lakers or the Cowboys and that's pretty bad.

I suppose I could go on all day...but, I'll spare you the rest of my opinions about the Evil Empire in the Bronx.

With that said, I know there are a lot of Yankees fans out there. Please don't take my opinions personal. But, every Yankee loss feels almost as good as a Cubs win. lol

I agree with you on one thing. Bringing Clemens back was definitely a mistake. He really needs to retire and hopefully will after this season. There are plenty of good young pitchers out there they could replace him with.

I have mad respect for the tribe this year. They outright played better than my beloved Tigers this year. So, the way I see it, if the Tigers couldn't do it this year, I'd like to see the team that beat us out win it all!

Well, congrats on the tribe beating my Yanks. They definitely deserved it. Once again, A-Rod failed to produce in the playoffs and their starting pitching was terrible except for Pettite of course. Since I absolutely despise the Red Sox, I will be rooting for the tribe to sweep them and move on to the World Series. The NLCS is going to be a dog fight!
