God I miss the WCW, there for a while I never even watched it, then one night I saw Hogan on there so I decided to watch, then I saw Macho Man Randy Savage, The Dragon, Sting, Bret Hart, nWo, Ric Flair. I even stopped watchin WWF for a while because I just wasn't entertained. Man......memories.

Having grown up in Dallas I was a regular on Friday nights down at the old Sportatorium. I even went down to check out their wrestling school. Steve Austin was an advanced student. Well, I took one look at him and knew I was never going to step in a ring with that monster and, that was the end of my wrestling career. The fueds between the FreeBirds and the Von Erichs were some of my favorite matches. Although I would have to say I saw Mick Foley or Cactus Jack as he was known then about a 100 times or more. He would throw his opponent out of the ring then he would stand on the apron and run as fast as he could diving elbow first off the apron throwing his body toward the poor slob on the floor. 99 times out of 100 he hit nothing but concrete. He wasn't much of a wrestler but, boy was he entertaining. I saw alot of the current WWe stars come through there on their way up. The Undertaker wore a mask and called himself Texas Red he would walk out on the top rope not even hold onto his opponents arm and deliver the heat seeking missle elbow drop from which no one got up. Eddie Guerro was a regular there jobbing getting ass handed to him time in and time out. The Dingo (Ultimate) Warrior was doing car sales ads for a guy named Joe Greed. All the big names in wrestling came through there at one time or another and I saw most of them. Now the Sportatorium is a parking lot for a giant liquor store.

For sure the old days of wrestling were the best, there were so many different shapes and sizes and at least the fights looked more real. now they are all huge and full of steriods.
I remember my man roddy piper being smacked in the knees by someone with a steel chair over and over again and you could hear the steel and you could see and hear it hitting him, there was no way to fake that shit.

i remember adrian adonnis (sp?) and jake the snake and all the harts, the british bulldogs would make me gag when i watched them lick each other lol, and macho man and elizabeth, and andre the giant and bobby (the weasel)the brain...........Webfetti.com
