TheRoundersRoom.com Interview with Lynette Chan

Lynette Chan - Full Tilt Poker Pro

TRR: Thank you for taking some time out to answer some questions about your poker career. We have done several interviews over the past few years, but you are the first pro female player we have interviewed.

Lynette: Hi Brian. Sorry for the late reply. I just found out I am able to move into my new home earlier than expected so I've been crazy busy!

Here we go! :)

TRR: When did you decide that poker would become such a big part of your life?

Lynette: I knew when I had to give up my career in marketing when poker was affecting my work.

TRR: How did you become a Full Tilt pro?

Lynette: I lived in Vegas for about 8 months and was following the circuit playing cash games. I was asked by a FTP rep, and I said yes! :)

TRR: Do you feel that having a "pro" status changes the way that people play against you?

Lynette: Definitely. I feel like I get a lot of action already being a young woman and even more as a pro. I love it.

TRR: Do you feel that being a female changes the way that people play against you?

Lynette: Absolutely, in live games.

TRR: I noticed that you have some contact information for inquiries regarding modeling and commercial acting. Are you hoping to parlay your poker career into some sort of career in acting?

Lynette: I'm open minded about anything challenging and profitable. I am highly motivated and wouldn't want to have any missed opportunities so it was in my best interest to have a couple agents.

TRR: Do you plan on making poker a career for the future, or is this just a hobby of yours?

Lynette: Poker will always be a big part of my life. In the next few years I would like to get back into marketing, specifically in real estate.

TRR: Did you make it to the WSOP '07?

Lynette: I did, unfortunately, it was uneventful.

TRR: Have you had success in online poker since becoming a Full Tilt "Pro"?

Lynette: Yes. Every couple months I have my own personal challenge. When I was asked to be a pro on FTP, it was my very first online account I opened. And over the years, I only played live cash games. My first challenge was to master MTT. I played for about 6 solid months and had great results. Every month I have new game I try to gain better knowledge of.

TRR: Will you become a member of the greatest poker forum on the internet today? (The Rounders Room)

Lynette: I'd be honored to be a member of The Rounders Room.

Best,
Lynette
